Hello, Braves fans. KU fan here and I'd just like to extend an offer to come check out our message board, phog.net, so as to maybe get a better idea of your team. Also, you could pick up on our strengths and weaknesses as well. You do have to register to post, but our mods are usually fairly quick at getting people approved. So, if you just want to entertain yourself in good basketball dialogue or talk a little smack, all is welcomed.

Thanks Cyprus
I have had the Kansas board(Jayhawk Slant) bookmarked for years and always find it to be an active and informative board.
I have posted at times, and appreciate your letting us know about your board here.
I especially enjoyed your discussion regarding playing Patrick O'Bryant on St. Patrick's Day!

No problem. Jayhawk Slant isn't anything compared to phog.net, which is a Scout.com affiliate. We have one of the most active message boards of any school I've seen (save Illinois). So come check it out. lWe'd really like to hear from people who actually know what they're talking about when discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the Braves. We don't believe you, you need more people.

Don't mind the dolts, tornado. Every board has them. If you or someone else from this site could possibly give a little scouting report/ breakdown of your team in a new thread, I think it would be appreciated. However, don't be suprised if somebody tries to cut down what you say in an arrogant manner. It's bound to happen. We don't believe you, you need more people.

This is something quick I typed up on the Pittsburgh board, as they were interested on what their potential second round matchup would look like. Not that I'm looking past BU, of course. I'm sure it's filled with grammar and spelling errors, but I'm too lazy to do anything about it.
We lead the nation in fg defense percentage. We have two super quick guards in Mario Chalmers and Russell Robinson as perimeter defenders. Both average well over 2 steals per game (Mario close to three). Our third starting guard, Brandon Rush, plays solid defense but doesn't have as quick as hands. He is, however, an excellent rebounder as a guard.
Our big guys all play pretty solid defense. Our starting center/power forward, Sasha Kaun, doesn't have the quickest feet, but usually doesn't get beat all too often. We have two bonafide shot blockers in Julian Wright and CJ Giles. Giles, however, goes for the block a little too often. All of our bigs are pretty athletic, save Kaun who is more bulky. Julian is a great passing big man and is a freak in some of the things he can do out on the court.
Edited to include rotation. Our rotation has been trimmed down throughout the year to about eight players. Occassionally we'll play 9 or even 10, but lately eight has been the magic number.
Starting Lineup:
PG-Russell Robinson So. 6'1"
SG-Mario Chalmers Fr. 6'2"
SG/SF- Brandon Rush Fr. 6'6"
PF - Julian Wright Fr. 6'8"
C- Sasha Kaun So. 6'11"
Bench:
PG/SG - Jeff Hawkins Sr. 5'11"
PF - Darnell Jackson So. 6'8"
C - CJ Giles So. 6'10"
Our offense is predicated on our guard's shooting and slashing. Chalmers and Rush are both legitimate threats from outside, while Robinson is a below average shooter but an above average slasher. Chalmers isn't shy about taking it to the hole either, but he is more of a sniper from three point range. None of our bigs are that proficient in the post, but all can finish well when in position and get junk baskets. As I mentioned Julian is a very crafty passer and is a zone buster.
We aren't very good in our half court offensive sets and we like to get out and run in transition. Being as our team is so young, unforced turnovers are always a problem. But defense is our mainstay and it's how we've won all year.We don't believe you, you need more people.
