Some of you might have seen this on TV. The San Francisco 49ers came from behind and won a big game in Detroit today 25-19. It was Detroit's first loss of the season, and the 49ers are now 5-1. Jim Harbaugh, coach of the 49ers, is very excited and celebrates with his players as he crosses the field for the postgame handshake with Lions coach Jim Schwartz. Apparently Harbaugh squeezes a little too hard on the handshake, or maybe Schwartz thinks Harbaugh is celebrating a little too much on Detroit's home field, and Schwartz says something nasty to Harbaugh and becomes upset. As Harbaugh heads for the locker room, Schwartz tried to get at Harbaugh to confront him, but players intervene as Schwartz goes berzerk. Eventually the players tussle a little. Later Harbaugh issued a statement that he might have squeezed Schwartz's hand too hard because he was overly excited, but he refused to apologize. The TV commentators afterward blamed Harbaugh and suggested he was cowardly for not facing the media and explaining the incident or apologizing. Maybe so, but to me, it looks like Schwartz is the one who overreacted, went berserk on the field and might have caused the whole issue to accelerate into a brawl.

Harbaugh is in the wrong, in my opinion. -
I love what Detroit's coach did. He reminds me a little of Dick Versace.
Your players have got to know that the coach has their back. Nothing but good can come out of this for the Lions (and their fans.... and the city of Detroit).

Harbaugh did meet with media- said it was on him.. Schwartz acted the fool... He was mad they lost. Harbaugh is fired up.. Get over it schwartz...???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???Comment

I agree 100%, though others were saying Schwartz didn't like the back slap Harbaugh gave him. Regardless, it was mainly Jimmy Johnson (and a couple of others) that thought it was "beneath" Harbaugh to act like he did. WHAT?!! If you ask me Harbaugh was NOT being serious. He was being typical Harbaugh...... sm@rtass. What he said in that presser was pure sarcasm, IMO. When I watch a replay of this "handshake" from a certain angle what I see is a dismissive shove by Harbaugh after the handshake, not a slap on the back. Sure. if you're an NFL head coach, I would assume you're flat out sick after a loss. The last thing you want to see is someone celebrating in front of you, especially if there is a history, which I don't know if there is or not. Well I know I'm in the minority on this, but I don't think what he did was that bad. Yes, Harbaugh has a reputation for being a bit of a smart aleck, but I don't think he meant any harm with this.

If any of you have seen Schwartz's antics throughout the course of this season, the term "Karma's a B!tch" comes to mind. He is over the top on the sidelines and apparently he thinks he can be the only one that is obnoxious after a win.

If you look closely, Harbaugh gives him a slap on the back and then kinda pushes him out of the way in the same motion. I would be ticked too!Comment
