Boogie's Halifax Rainmen went 2-0 in exhibition games this weekend...in preseason Canadian National Basketball League play...
and Boogie is among the scoring leaders thus far....Ex-Creighton Rodney Buford is the leader - averaging 20 ppg..

In the first exhibition game Boogie started at a guard position, went 3-8, 9 pts, 3 rebs
then in the 2nd game he was 4-6 from the field, 10 points and 5 rebs (ex-Drake guard Al Stewart had 13 pts & U of I's Calvin Brock had just 3 for Boogie's opponent, Summerside)

Interesting -- shortly after that last game - the Illini's Calvin Brock was cut from the team by the Summerside Storm Canadian NBL team

The opponents' home press, the Summerside/Prince Edward Island Journal Pioneer described the game as "star guard Lawrence Wright went to work and took over in the 2nd half"...
..."forcing turnovers and hitting key shots."

The Canadian pro season has begun but Boogie's first game is tomorrow nite..
The only other rostered player in the league with a BU connection is Tisby -- but I heard Dodie had a tryout with a couple teams and still may get on..

Boogie's team won again - Halifax 121- St. John 104
Boogie still ranks 5th in the entire league in scoring at 18 ppg, and 4th in FG accuracy (55%) -
right behind the #4 guy in scoring - also an ex-BU Brave Antoine Tisby who is averaging 18.4 ppg & 59% FG accuracy (2nd) - and 8 rpg (5th)

Good for Boogie. One of my all time favorites. He's also playing in a beautiful area.
What part of illegal don't you understand?
