I also do not want SM to fail and I wish him the best but I will view him as an ex Illinois player when his playing days are over not a Bradley player. I know some will not agree but I dont see him coming back to Bradley for alumni events. He made a choice and it wasnt to be loyal to Bradley and his team. Just my opinion and everyone has a right to one.

I hope SM gets to play and stays healthy. I don't, however, wish the U of I any good luck. I have never been, nor will I ever be, a U of I fan.
I, for one, just hope everyone can move on and keep the past in the past. It's a new season and hopefully the start of some great bball at Bradley for years to come!

Yes, but The Ohio State University has been a level above Illinois since 2007 or so. Turner's an Ohio State elitist. sure to cause consternation among the timid -- but Sammy Maniscalco was again -- DA MAN...
the Illini held an intrasquad scrimmage (Their Orange & Blue) and Sammy was nothing short of awesome --
among the leaders in every stat category...scoring 17 pts...
nailing four 3-pointers .....including (sound familiar) a 30-footer at the halftime buzzer!
(4=slew)...Congrats to Sammy...

Almost every Illini fan comment on Sam is a superlative they are just beginning to realize what fell into their hands...!
Louisville also held a public intrasquad scrimmage and Rick Pitino oddly played the entire full game with his starters vs. the subs & deep subs...

I think Sam was a very good player here and will be decent at U of I. He will add leadership. He will probably start since Ill doesn't have much at the point. I think he is really going to have trouble guarding Big 10 athletes. He has never been quick and had trouble guarding some MVC players. I think he will help the Illini, but if he is their star they have more problems than I think. I don't think the Iliini will be very good as it is.Comment
