I also look forward to see how many students make it to the next game. They, the students, should make it hard for anyone else to get a ticket for any game at the gym on campus.

They'll likely have to walk around campus giving tickets away to students and they still won't all show up. That being said, I'm fine with it now. I passed on my opportunity to buy tickets because I'm just not that interested in watching a game in that building.

Don't expect them all to show up, just the ones who consider themselves fans. I'm fine with exibition games being played in the gym on campus. I'm sure SEMO will have great bulletin board material with so many on this board calling them a lesser opponent.

Theres no way... I'm pushing for as many students to go as possible, but there are 4200 seats at the RC and 5301 undergrad students at BU. theres no way 79% of BU students will ever attend a game. To be honest i've been promoting this game for a while now and I will be shocked if we pull more than 500 students. Its just not possible in this day and age. Kids would rather play video games, watch movies, or get drunk than go watch a bball game.

Had BU simply dropped SEMO from the schedule or played them in Timbuktu - everyone would have been just fine with that saying..
I really didn't care to go watch us play SEMO anyway...

But they set up a nice chance to return to campus and see the game in a great setting and then some are unhappy...
I don't see the reasons to worry yet -- everyone who wants to see this game will be able to get a ticket..

People who own 4, 6, or more season tickets downtown are not going to go get the same number for this game -- it's just not happening -- and this is exactly what has happened in the NIT/CBI/CIT games and that's why post-season NIT or CBI games only draw 4000-5000...even against top opponent like Cincy

If BU is going to draw those numbers - then it is a slam-dunk GOOD business decision to host the game where BU makes a FAR greater bottom line and doesn't end in red ink.

There are other reasons why the post season games do not get attended well as a lot of the seniors head to Arizona and Florida in March for spring training and other activities.

I am sure that accounts for some - but for those post-season games to fall 5000 under what we'd get for a top regular season game - I guarantee it's not because 5000 people suddenly left town headed to AZ...

it is 90% due to the fact that the 16 games in the regular season ticket package is enough and unless the game has really special interest it's just gonna get a pass from a LOT of the season ticket people.
In fact, for all of those NIT, CBI, & CIT games I got MY regular season tickets but I had completely unfamiliar people sitting all around me as the LARGE majority of the other season ticketholders in my area chose NOT to get their seats and they went to the general public and even a couple walkup guys
