  • Preseason preview of Big Ten

Pretty good preseason preview of the Big Ten by a blogger-

And a preview of Illinois from an Indiana blogger-
With the college basketball season inching closer, we’ll be taking a long look at the conference at large as well as Indiana’s roster over the next few weeks. Today, we continue our team previews with a look at the Illinois ...

    check out this silly line...
"..and Jereme Richmond making the ill-advised decision to declare for the NBA Draft."

...he made that decision on his own as everyone in the universe advised him NOT to do it!

BTW -- I disagree with the guy's claim that...
"the Illini..lacks a true point guard."
....in fact they actually have one of the better, most experienced PG's in the Big Ten..

All I read were his predicted standings and about Illinois....terrible.....

      1. Davis wasn't physical....he was long and smart enough to be a good rebounder.

      2. Like you said....no pg....

      3. The fact that they will finish 9th in the Big 10 is stupid. Quote me on that.

There will be addition by subtraction this year in Champaign. Richmond was a cancer. McCamey was enigmatic. Tis and Davis were as good as can be expected given their limitations, sometimes great matchups, sometimes horrid match ups.

I see a year alot like the year when Frazier and Meachem were guards and they found a way to be somewhat successful. Too much raw talent on that team not to be at least middle of the pack in the B10.
