  • OT Transfer

I am having a bit of trouble at Valpo right now (socially not academically) and I was thinking of transferring next year if things don't improve. If anyone can give me an idea of BU that's there or an alum or a prof, please inform me as to the class of the Business school.

I'm an IB Major looking for a high starting salary, I don't necessarily want to work for CAT, I want a lot of internships around the country and around the world, I want to study for a year in Hong Kong. Any info would be great!
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

I would suggest that you get in touch with Dr. Scott, Interim Dean -- http://www.bradley.edu/academic/coll....dot?id=123898 -- personally via e-mail or phone call. From what I understand BU has a very good Business school with a quality reputation.

I'm currently a Junior at BU, but i'm in the engineering school. But 2 of my roommates are in the business school so if you've got specific questions, feel free to ask me and if i cant answer them i can have my roommates, or someone else from the fraternity answer them.

        From Business College website --

Ranked among the best, the Foster College of Business is one of only 1 percent of the world??™s business schools to achieve and maintain the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) accreditation for both our business and accounting programs.
In 2010, U.S. News & World Report ranked the Foster College of Business among business schools of our type. Foster College of Business possesses one of the world??™s top international business programs, and was twice recognized by the Palmes Award, in 2008 and 2009.
Over 80 percent of our students secure at least two internships, many with Fortune 500 companies. For the past five years, at least 94 percent of our graduates were either putting their degrees to work or attending graduate school within their prospective fields within six months of graduation. FCBA graduates routinely gain full-time career positions with top employers??”recent graduates have joined companies such as JP Morgan, State Farm, Caterpillar, Boeing, PepsiCo, Northern Trust, Apple Computers, and Kraft.

Thanks very much everyone (and the two members who messaged me)! I knew the BU alum network and current student network was great but WOW. I am impressed. I've been busy since I posted this, I posted it mostly so I could get a good idea of where to look around Thursday and over the weekend. I'm working on a list of questions and considerations to
          A) Decide whether or not to transfer, and
          B) Decide whether I will go to BU or Loyola of Chicago (I think that's what I am looking at in the way of top class universities right now! )

          Thank you all again!

To begin with, I don't understand how a BU fanatic ends up attending any other school but Bradley.

            j/k BUFanatic

Good luck to ya - hope you land on the Hilltop!

I'm a BU Foster College of Business graduate and I would highly recommend it as an option for you.

It sounds like some others have already offered suggestions and advice, but I can say that the education I received as an undergraduate was superior to the MBA program I was enrolled in -- and this was a supposed Top 15 program, according to the U.S. News Rankings.

I'm not an admission representative, but choose BU! It provides you with everything you're looking for and more.
