Patrick O'Bryant exhibition win

- 65-54 against Olin Edrine of Turkey - POB with 12 pts
- then 63-60 over a Macedonian team PAOK - Patrick O'Bryant scoring 12 pts

Tough luck for Patrick O'Bryant. He is signed with Kavala, a team in the top pro league in Greece. But just before the regular season games were to start, the teams have voted for a lockout of the players. The teams are in a dispute with the national TV stations which want to televise only the games of the top couple teams, so the other teams voted for the work stoppage.

games are up and running in Greece... and POB's first game was a close 68-67 loss...

I know it's early but POB had a good game with 8 pts, 9 rebs, and 2 blocks...and in the 13-team league POB is 2nd among players in rebounds and leads the league in blocked shots.

POB is still only 25 years old; he's just now entering his prime years physically and emotionally. Young enough to still get at least a few more looks by the NBA if he continues to perform well. I'm hoping he makes it back and stays around 5-10 years.

He could still get NBA looks. I'd be happy for him if he could just become a good overseas player. Nothing wrong with that.
