I also think Dom Johnson will turn out to be the best of the jucos and freshmen that ISU signed, despite the fact that Slack and Richardson came with more hype after their performances in the NJCAA tournament. This was the kid who had a campus visit scheduled at Bradley before the NCAA run, and I know Jim Les really liked and wanted him.

Dom Johnson is doing what Roberto Fortes did over the final 6 games last season, but is not doing now.
He is putting up big numbers, but he's taking half of all the shots the team is taking...but it's not helping them play as a team.
In the end, this is not a one man game, and no matter how many Dom puts up, they have to get some points out of the rest of the starters.
Here are some dismal numbers:
The entire rest of the starters scored 27,
the entire team besides Dom was 1-8 from 3-pt, and
the entire bench had ZERO baskets and 2 points.
ISU was out-rebounded 35-22....the starting frontcourt had only 7 rebounds.
I know someone will think I am being harsh but sorry----
the onus has to fall on the coach to play better than this.

Shows how much the experts know
The guy that was picked as the top incoming recruit in the league, Osiris Eldridge, appears to be having a hard time adjusting to Division I.
See bottom paragraph-> Eldridge named #1 MVC recruit, Hill #4
Top Valley recruits
Eldridge is now 0-11 shooting, 0-6 from 3-point range, with 6 turnovers despite playing just a total of 32 minutes combined in the 2 games.
The other highly touted freshman, Bobby Hill, has not played a second yet in either game. He might redshirt. While another Valley freshman that nobody predicted would contribute much, Andrew Warren, is looking like a candidate for the MVC All Freshman team.
Also, ISU fans were promised a better team, with more offense than last year's team that struggled to score. So far, they haven't gotten what was promised. ISU has scored just 55 and 59 points in their first 2 games. That translates into 57 points per game which is actually better than last year's 55.5 points per game, but not exactly what the fan's expect and deserve.
