It is better to have tried and failed than to have failed to try, but the result's are the same.

Better quote would be. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained!"

Disclaimer to my thought process. I'm a start up junkie, which means I tend to work for start ups out here in Silicon Valley. I like the idea of taking on the big boys, looking for areas where I can take them on and winning. BU has some unique tangible values to offer any player and some of those values may be on a higher priority level to a players family, then heading to a KY, where values may be jeopardized. Stop underselling BU guys! The BCS boys do a good job by themselves. We need to start branding the positive side of playing for a school like BU or Butler or Gonzaga or Creighton then giving into the BSC mentality.

If Apple thought like some of you guys on this site they would have folded in the 90s! Just a thought.

Great post because we should not sell ourselves short, you need to set the bar high if you expect to achieve high goals.

This guy seems to be agreeing with Taylor Bell who says -- that Jabari Parker might well be the BEST HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER of all time -

As most people can tell from my posts here, I have many questions, concerns, skepticism, etc concerning this topic. If I listed a couple of other opinions here that I currently have about this topic, this thread would balloon to 100 pages overnight. That being said, I firmly believe that Bradley recruiting has a niche that can be exploited for long term success.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

His father has reportedly said one of the primary considerations behind this decision will be a school that provides the opportunity to win a national championship. Another important factor will be his relationship with the head coach. Therefore, it may come down to who he likes better....Pitino or Calipari.

No Coach K in the mix?

Has anyone heard if Butler is in the mix for Parker? I haven't seen any mention of Butler in articles that I have read.

If Bradley had unlimited resources and an unlimited amount of coaches and time that they could recruit, I would agree with spending time going after the best player in the state. However, there are lots of restrictions in place and time spent on one recruit means time not spent on another recruit. It's a zero sum game.

I don't think so. He's at a school with other potential D1 recruits and will be playing against other D1 recruits. Its not like he's the only D1 recruit in a 500 mi area taking coaches away from any other potential target.

So, if after 1 season with no NCAA championship, he'll stay until he wins one right? He's leaving after 1 season, championship or not.

If he is as good as advertised...he commits to BU and then a couple of other top recruits follow him...KABOOM! (sorry Dave)...Braves make a run...if we can do Sweet 16...

I'm not the one saying it....just repeating what's been reportedly stated by his father.
