Bradley recruiting the #1 player in the country for 2013

I don't understand why more top players don't consider mid-majors. Especially if they can be local heros. Great players at mid-majors tend to get more attention than one at a powerhouse because their numbers tend to be high and they look impressive against the competition. Look at how much attention Jimmer, Adam Morrison, Gordon Hayward, Patrick O'bryant, Ali Farokmansh, and others have gotten. Plus the shock of a being a top recruit when coming out and committing to a school like Bradley is bound to get you some attention. It seems like some players would get more NBA looks at a mid-major than elsewhere.

I was talking to a BCS conference friend of mine yesterday and he said the same thing. Why wouldn't he want to come to Bradley where he would be a star, showcase his game better, average 25-30 points a game, play good competition, help us win the conference. And put us back on the map immediately if we get him And his teammates would like having the scouts around!!

A blue chip player like Parker wants one thing when they go to a college for one year. That one thing is to win a NCAA championship. The only exception that I could see to this is BYU.Peoria Toyota Scion

If you do not ask you'll never know. I do not see a down side to this. Yes there is the time spent on this but this may also prove to help us with other recruits regardless."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

Also how has going to Kentucky helped those one and done. I do not see a banner hanging from Rupp."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

See last paragraph for his goals with this link.

Parker sounds like a very high character guy, but I doubt he cares much about MVC titles or a place in Bradley yore. He'll pick the best one-year situation for him that benefits his goal of being an NBA lottery pick.
Now do I hope he decides Bradley is that place...absolutely!

For the most part, isn't the yearly goal at Kentucky to win a National Championship? They fired Tubby Smith for not winning enough (by their standards) after he won a title. What part of illegal don't you understand?

Sorry Ben, we'll just not see eye to eye on this one. I like to believe that our goal at BU is also to win championships and the only way to do that is to go after the best. Why not, especially in this case? I just do not see the downside of this! The only one you mention is time and the chance to capture lightening in a bottle."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
