seems many of their last 6-8 new players are transfers & jucos
With the amount of bigs we lost last year and after this year I think coach is just trying to get some players who he doesn't have to develop (especially physically) as much. With the bigs the Valley gets as freshmen they usually take 2-3 years to really develop into game changers. I think coach is just trying to plug in with the best bigs he can get and have a chance to adjust quicker than a true freshman would. Good freshmen guards are a little more abundant and while you don't want to HAVE to rely on a freshman guard, I think you can get by with it in the Valley a little better than having a bunch of freshmen big men trying to learn how to bang in Div 1.
This season WSU's roster shows Anacreon, Armstead, Mitchell, Orukpe, Ragland, and Smith with Watson & Early already committed....
by any measure - that's a lot of jucos and transfers all at one time --
