Was saddened to hear of last night's passing of one of BU's all-time greatest athletes, Paul Moore, who was a track and field star for the Braves.
Though he graduated nearly 50 years ago (1962), Paul still holds the Bradley record for most individual conference championships in any sport. He was elected to the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 1963 and was named to the MVC All Centennial Track & Field team in 2008.
Paul, who died after struggling with a difficult illness, was as ardent a BU supporter as I've ever seen while serving on the boards of the Braves Club, the B-Club and the BU Alumni Association. He traveled to BU sporting events across the country from men's and women's hoops to soccer, volleyball, track and field, etc.
Rest in peace, Paul. God bless.
