It's one thing to point out a typo on a legitimate website, as BradleyMom did.

OTOH, anyone who obsesses over what is said on a bulletin board, and who's life revolves around finding and attacking typos or opinions shows how empty and desperate some people's lives are.

I never saw that DA COACH. PLEASE, POINT OUT THIS OBSESSION OVER THE ATTACKING OF OPINIONS AND BULLETIN BOARD TYPOS that you talk about.

I know you can't mean mean me, BradleyMom, or BueschNChips. We simply pointed out an inexcusable mistake by Bobby Parker, or someone on the Bradley staff, that did not properly proof read and edit a form of OFFICIAL Bradley University public relations that was put out on the Worldwide Web for all to see. Frankly, I'm embarrassed by both that and the excuses that I see being made by many!

I can see both sides of what's being said......

I do believe Bradley University should be held to a much higher standard than anyone posting on a message board.

I also believe there are certain people that obsess over what's said here. In fact, there seems to be a message board that has seemingly picked up where the old VT board left off with their constant screen captures, quotes, and snide remarks in almost every single topic that gets posted there. Those same people continuously state that all opinions are welcome there, but don't skip the chance to look past an opinion that would apparently be more appropriate on this message board.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I won't disagree with you on this shaunguth. But why do we even bring the other board up on this thread? That's not the point, nor my point. You validated the only point that I was trying to make. Why do others try to deflect from the original point? Bradley screwed up here. Let's fix it so it doesn't happen and move on. That's all I'm trying to say.

Please, I think you are making way too much of simple typos.

And no, I am not meaning you. But please don't play naive.

I agree. Most of those people had their chance to be relevant here and blew it.

As for the typos in the media guide, I was simply asking if Geno's email went through a screener, or if the email is wrong. Although I think the media guide tends to be repetitive year after year and lack originality at times, I assume it is herculean task, so I am not going to raise a big stink. I will say that the pregame notes with all of the stats and data for each game are amazing.

                BnC,

Sorry, I forgot to answer the original question. The email address listed for Coach Ford on the BradleyBraves.com staff directory goes to basketball secretary Chris Braun. I am sure you understand why.

As for the rest of this thread: wow! Basketball season can't start soon enough.

As I stated before, I am always embarrassed when I put out something that is not perfect, but unfortunately, I am not. I do recognize that both Jim and I need to spend more time spell-checking and we need to remember that speed is not always the most important factor. We will always strive to do better.

This is not meant to be an excuse, but I hope it does offer a little bit of perspective: since Jan. 1, 2011, my two person staff (Jim and myself), with the occasional help of a student, have either updated or posted 1,056 different articles on BradleyBraves.com, including 161 since Sept. 1.

I always appreciate feedback, both positive and negative, as I feel both are constructive. I hope you all visit BradleyBraves.com as often as possible for the latest news on Bradley Athletics and to learn more about the Braves. Always feel free to share your feedback with me, though I do like receiving the negative feedback directly to my email (bparker@bradley.edu) rather than in an embarrassing fashion on the message board.

Hey Bobby! I apologize for coming at you so strong. I realize that you have a Herculean task to keep up with so many things, especially with just a 2 man staff. A friend informed me this morning of all the things that you do and are responsible for and I was shocked. I think you do a fantastic job considering the limited resources that you've been dealt.

If I might offer a suggestion..... There are probably several communications students that would absolutely love to be associated with BU's athletic department in any way. Why not look to apply for work study so that you may delegate some of your minor responsibilities to them? Heck, there are probably some who'd do it for free.

Keep up the good work Bobby!

                    B4L,

I would love to have more student involvement, but for whatever reason, it has been increasingly difficult over the years to get students who are willing to work. While Will's injury is unfortunate, it is keeping him on campus and he is now interning for me and doing a great job. I also have two additional students this semester, one working for class credit and one volunteering. As the sports communication continues to grow and the program's students become eligibile for internships, I am hoping to see an increase in student help.

Now, time to head out to the Clubs at River City to collect some more tennis scores.

                    BP

Geno doesn't check his email anyway. If you want to get in touch with him, you have to do it via text message.

Perfectly fine. I was just asking a question. I know JL had a Bradley email and it was not a secret. I was just wondering if this was an error or intentional. Certainly not a big deal either way.

I think it's by design Chips. I understand where your question was coming from.
