Do we know why? In sales they say: "No answer is an answer"....... I hope this is not the case here.

We do not. But at least the answer isn't no.

While we continue to wait on some word about 2012 recruit Coty Clarke, here is a new recruiting name that has surfaced this week.
He is a junior (class of 2013) at Simeon HS in Chicago- Kendall Pollard

This is obviously someone the coaches want very, very badly...

Not sure I would phrase it this way...coaches always prioritize their recruits, and I think we can assume with the final scholarship we are after a big man, and that Clarke is their preferred target. But FWIH, they have a number of others targeted, so they simply need a yes or no from Clarke to know if they should focus time and resources elsewhere.

The trip to Birmingham was cancelled.

Likely our coaches will be looking elsewhere for our next big man.

Not surprising.. The longer this took, the more likely Clarke was going elsewhere.
                      Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

We have coaches at 3 different this weekend- hopefully we'll be hearing about landing the big man we are looking for.

Coty Clarke is still hearing from some other schools, even though some of his earlier interest has dried up. But Bradley is not out of the picture entirely, yet.

one event our guys are watching is the Vincennes Junior College Jamboree...

La Lumiere, the prep school with all the hand picked talent including Bobo Drummond, 5-Star Hanner Perea, and Jonathon Wilkins...is also at this event...

In their 2nd game today La Lumiere played host Vincennes and the final was
                          La Lumiere 54 - Vincennes 41
...in a game that was a 3 point game into the 2nd half then was said to be kinda sloppy as you'd expect an early season game.
Anyway - the scoring for La Lumiere was said to be - Raphael Davis 14, Hanner Perea 8, Jay Simpson 4...Bobo 3

La Lumiere in game 1 clobbered "Mid-Michigan CC" (a junior college that is BRAND new to junior college basketball and never had a team prior to 2010-2012),
                          61-28, Perea had 8 after a scoreless 1st half.
La lumiere's other big men, Obij Aget & Jonathon Wilkins not to effective.
