It's obviously how something is worded.

I'm not sure how "I have heard Coach Ford is out of state recruiting this week. We might still hear something regarding Coty Clarke today" can be taken as a "false report" by anyone.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Maybe Da Coach didn't hear Coach Ford is out of state recruiting. I guess that might be the "false report". His other statement sure seems like opinion to me.

are you sure this isn't a "false report that does not help Bradley?"
Yes, I am sure. I am also sure there was an erroneous report Saturday.

I think most people here know I get my information from a "highly reliable source".

Let me rephrase it- Coach Ford is out of town recruiting. And he is recruiting other kids for the class of 2012.
If you want exact destinations or flight numbers, PM me.

If Coty Clarke were to commit, I suspect the coach would cut his trip short.

So, hypothetical question. If Coty or any forward committed, should we still recruit a big man? I say yes.

          1) There is always the chance Will doesn't come back.

          2) With a new staff, if a player doesn't get to play as much as he thought he would a transfer would seem likely.

          3) Most years someone seems to leave.

            4) Milos has not proven anything.

            5) No one knows how well Shayokx2 or Hodges will adjust to the D1 game.

I think at least one or more of those will in fact happen, so I think the coaches will continue to follow other bigs.

Let"s face it, the coaching staff has to go out and find the best players available to fit their needs if we expect them to build a championship caliber team tough decisions will need to be made as far as which players will stay and contribute and which ones will be told that they need to look elsewhere , you cannot keep players that are non contributors as it is not fair to the team, it is a hard decision but that is why the staff gets paid big money and us fans want them to put together the best team possible even if it means trimming someone off the roster that will not help us reach our goal.

Which brings up a good question. When someone is offered a 4 year scholarship, is it offered under the condition that the player contribute at a certain level?

Well I am pretty sure that the practice of taking scholarships away from players that were expecting 4 years would not be something that prospective recruits would like to hear.

I personally love the Pierre Cooper story.

Scholarships are only taken away when a player does not perform up to set standards, coaches get fired when their team does not meet standards so in order for them to keep their jobs they have to get rid of players that do not play up to their standards, it is a tough thing to do but you cannot renew scholarships of non contributing personnel, this happens every year at a lot of colleges and should not effect recruiting as new recruits want to be part of a winning program.

What are the set standards? Get good grades and work hard? Or are you talking wins and losses?

Are you honestly saying that you would fire players for the team not winning games? Wow. You better fire the guys that start first, because they are much more responsible for the losses than the guys deep on the bench.

I would never attended a school where my scholarship was predicated on the actions of others.

I would hope Bradley NEVER accepts your first standard real fan. Unless a kid gets in trouble, shows lack of effort, doesn't get along with his teammates, or has poor grades he should be allowed to stay on scholarship all four years if he so chooses.

I would hope that BU never becomes like so many of those BCS schools (or ISU ) that run off players just to free up a scholie for a better player.
