They were just talking about that during the Florida vs. Tennessee game on CBS. According to Verne Lundquist it is a done deal Pitt and Syracuse are coming to the ACC.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

And maybe after all this... maybe college hoops will be fun to watch again. (and I mean college hoops NOT including the BCS)

Leave it to these schucks to take a good thing and ruin it!

These superconferences are actually a good sign if you want a playoff. The only problem is the main reason people wanted a playoff for in the first place (to allow Boise St-like teams a chance at the title) is actually going to be ignored in the final product. Instead of having a playoff to include more teams, the playoff installed will actually be MORE restrictive to non-BCS teams than the current system.
What a mess.

I have to believe that they will not screw with the NCAA tournament for the time being. Now I hope that BU has a plan and is in talks with Butler, Marquette, Creighton, SLU and a few others. Being a part of a very powerful basketball conference brand should be the number one thing in our AD's mind! This is for long-term survival and the nice guys here will be an after thought."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
