So, as I mentioned in a thread about last year's ISU game, I wanted to try to get one or two songs put in for the students to sing. Well, in addition to YNWA at the beginning of the game (COME ON! It fits any Mid Major perfectly and we're not gonna snatch it up before Butler? But it's up to the Student Leadership at BU I guess haha) ANYWAY, I've re-written two songs: One is ALL AMERICAN and the other is from an Irish song. Let me know if you could incorporate them into the game with the students (and hopefully the whole arena eventually)
1st: Geno Ford, Take Me Home
Chorus Only: (Unless someone else wants to re-write a verse)
Geno Ford! Take me home!
To the place, I belong! On the Hilltop!
In the Fieldhouse. Take me home! Geno Ford!
I'm not sure about that line in between On the Hilltop and Geno Ford, any suggestions would be welcome! Something about 74 and ISU would be appropriate for a complete re-write.
2nd: Fields of Bradley Park (Based on the Fields of Athenry)
Chorus Only: (See above)
Lowwww Lie the fields of Bradley Park!
Where once, we watched, the small free squirrels run! (Let the free and the free squirrels run!)
Our boys were on the run! (Let's go braves!) We had Stowell and Dick Verscase!
It's so lonely round the fields of Bradley Park! (Repeat loudly and intimidatingly at ISU game and all other home games)
What do y'all think?
