  • Valley Schedule Announced

The Valley has given permission for the schools to release their league schedules this morning. Everyone knows we play a complete double round-robin, so who we play is not a surprise, only when we play them. Of particular note, Bradley and Illinois State will meet in the regular-season finale Feb. 25 at Carver Arena. This will be the first rivalry meeting in the regular-season finale since 1985 and just the fourth regular-season finale in the history of the rivalry (1912 and 1928 ).

I like it .. we do not start with lots of road games nor do we hit the toughest Valley teams all in a row...

And...we finally get ISU at home on a SATURDAY!!!
This has not happened since way back in the previous century!!!

Once again the best teams in the Valley come when the Students are out... WSU, UNI, CU and MSU. Does BU/MVC really not see this issue? It happens every year. We get all the pre-season favorites when the students are out.

Though I do like the ILSU is the last game of the reg. Season

I'm sure FWO will be there (unless BU fishtails and he has illini tix). That's really all you need.
"But instead lets just hate while their MBB and WBB programs play blackjack against BU. Twenty-One in a row, seven by the Men & 14 by their women." ~NSBF

Definitely some of us out-a-towners will try to get tickets for this year because of the day. I hope the game means something besides just braggin' rights and staying out of last place!

Every team has the same set of circumstances. You have to play some home games when students aren't there -- generally 4-5.

With only nine opponents, you will invariably end up with some teams that are considered preseason favorites during that time.

I don't see this as a problem. It's just how scheduling works with a round-robin format.

                That's a no-brainer. ILL - MIZ happens every year. BU - WISC doesn't.

Uhmm... no brainer. BU-Whisky is in Chicago=better opportunities to party after the game!
                    Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Schedule looks to be one of the better ones as we do not play anymore then 2 games on the road before a home game , I do wish we would not get Wichita and SIU at the beginning of the season every year but everything looks good, lets win some games.

Very tough tests from mid-Dec. to end of Dec.

We play all 6 teams who posted winning records last season and worst RPI among the bunch was W. Carolina (#172).
The last 3 games (of the 6) are @ Michigan & @ Indy St. (NCAA tourney teams), and Home vs. the Shockers.

After the first 3 supposed cupcakes, our non-conf. schedule should prepare us for games in the Valley.

This may be a dumb question, but that's one of my calling cards.

Are the PBS World games available on Direct TV?
