Baylor is doing everything, and I mean everything, to stop it all. Rescinding their refusal to sue the SEC over taking A&M, in an attempt to stop it from happening. This campaign to keep the other Texas schools out of a Pac-16.

A&M Jumped to the SEC tonight.... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!

I have a strong feeling that there are eventually going to be 4 16 team super conferences, making 64 schools. Sound like a familiar number? The 4 super conferences will then secede from the NCAA and create their own system and rules.
Just for funs sake here is how it would shake out IMO geographically(mind you, I just threw this together with pretty much no thought ) Also, these are schools that have BCS football, hence why Nova, Georgetown, etc. are left out.

BYU is now rumored to be the 10th (or 9th) team.... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. I just don't see Oklahoma switching from the Big XII to the Pac 12. How is that a step up for Oklahoma, and how does that benefit them? That seems like a lateral move or even a step down for football and basketball. It would involve an extreme amount of travel for all their conference sports. It would spread them out over 3 time zones, and mean that many road events would be televised back to Oklahoma so late that a lot of fans would not see them. It would remove them from all their natural geographic rivals in every sport. And I don't think it brings in more TV money. Maybe they are using such an offer as leverage to benefit them in some other way, such as getting Texas to share more of their TV money, or attracting an SEC offer, but it seems unlikely to me that Oklahome would switch to the Pac 12.

To me, I think Oklahoma is banking on the Texas schools having to follow their lead. They could then be in an eastern division with:
Colorado
Utah
Texas
Texas Tech
Oklahoma St
Arizona
Arizona St
which actually isn't as bad as you make it sound as far as time difference. For football, they'd only have 1 or 2 pure west coast games, at west coast times, for the season. But they better be sure Texas, Texas Tech and OSU are coming along (OSU is a lock, obviously).
OU is planning their own network, I think they think it would fit perfectly within the Pac-12's TV plan. Also, if Oklahoma stays put, there's still the chance other schools leave first, then OU has to go to the Pac-12 anyways. OU staying in the Big 12 would require them to make a long-term committment to a conference where other members can leave and mess everything up. I think OU wants to control its destiny, and even if it feels the Pac-12 is a lateral move, it's better than other Big 12 schools leaving and then having no place to go.
And make no mistake, there's a LOT of ego in play right now too. OU is making a pure power play, but there's a good logical plan behind it.

The only time Bradley gets a mention on that station outside of the occasional mention by Les Grobstein, and it's in this negative context! Oh well. I guess a negative remark against our team is better than no mention about them at all.
