You think we have seen some heated discussions on this board in the past. But wait until you read some of the vicious comments directed against Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly (and to other posters as well) after their loss to South Florida yesterday!

As a Notre Dame Football Fanatic...
First off, we had a football game that went the length of a day of a cricket match, that's going to make any fan/coach/player mad (except for the winning side). I expected a lot more out of all of our boys. I think we can really achieve if the Sideline Kelly shows up for practice all this week. I think his actions were completely justified. He's coached them and they were forgetting or something. Just trying to spark the team. (They did considerably better after they were yelled at). It's FOOTBALL for Christ sake. It's a man's game, and if you don't do what you were asked to do, there will be repercussions. Throwing an INT a FOOT from the goal line on the opening drive of the season will loose you the starting job.
The first delay I didn't mind, but there was a momentum shift going in the final four minutes that could have turned the game into at least overtime. I was really upset, but I didn't really expect any different at that point. I'm hopeful for next week at Michigan, but it's time to move on.... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

#16 Notre Dame loses to South Florida

and UNI came within a point of upending Iowa State

and here's one that you probably didn't hear -- FCS Northern Colorado loses to NAIA Lindenwood

Never have figured out why a team will gain 6-8 yards on the ground the first play and then pass the next 2 downs before they punt. I didn't see the whole game, but what I did see they did that quite a bit in the first half. Also a bad break on the opening drive didn't help. What part of illegal don't you understand?
