but there was a whole lot of trash talking going on and I think this celebration was just the final part of it...
The video doesn't show some of the taunting actions of the defenders...
Things happen in the heat of the moment, but "classy" is never about what the other guy did.

      Taunting

It does not matter how much the defenders taunt you!! You must keep your cool and show how much class you have and not stoop to their level under any circumstances period!! There is no way anyone on this board should make a lame excuse for his actions just because he is Brave!! If the EIU player would have done this you guys would be just roasting him....

I would suspect this is a one time "lesson learned" he gets it deal. Moving to the forward position and NOW being the target of abuse...It is entirely a different perspective.

He will have a major breakout game this year when all shots go in..whether lucky, skill, or a little of both.. He couldn't believe he missed some of the shots taken last night.

The team appeared exhausted from the heat last night. I would believe coach will sub more on Saturday to avoid possibility of injury.

This team is tall and appears to have a special chemistry. Some important tests coming up.

Coach DeRose continues to bring winning/success to the hilltop....

I cannot see any possible excuse for this after winning the game. I understand poor sportsmanship after a loss, frustration builds up, etc. etc. But, upon winning the game against a team you were supposed to beat? I won't go as far as to roast the kid, as he's probably 19 or 20 years old, but I will tell you folks that I am embarrassed by his actions, and I hope someone sits him down and teaches him how to win with some class.

I have more info regarding the events at the end of the BU-EIU game. Bryan Gaul apologized immediatealy to his teammates and to EIU. He also submitted a written apology.
I know it doesn't excuse it, but throughout the game Gaul was grabbed constantly, including several times in the "privates", and his feet were stomped on. I witnessed some of this and have confirmed from other reliable sources that it happened.
But Bryan is a great kid, he owned up to it, and he apologized for it.

Good for him. Most of us have done things in the "heat of the moment" that we immediately regret. Glad to see he wasn't too proud to own up to his mistake. It's things like this that show a person's true character.
