find a way to open up a scholarship for Drummond. You tell me that the red shirt freshman has much of a choice but to give up his scholarship!

ESPN.com has learned through a source that Connecticut Huskies coach Jim Calhoun, interim athletic director Paul Pendergast, UConn president Susan Herbst and at least one member of the compliance department met Friday to ensure that it was possible to add another scholarship player -- a big one -- even though the program is officially out of scholarships.

Which is a point I think proves the penalties the NCAA gives those big schools have no impact at all..
here's a perfect example why -- had NCAA given a post-season ban or even a TV ban - this kid would never have gone there.
He simply would have never chosen a program that wasn't going to play in the NCAA tournament --

UConn cheats and the penalty has not effect, they have same cheating coach and can land anyone they want..

Tennessee cheats and yet don't get anything - all the penalties go to the coach that isn't even there any more..

What happened to post-season bans, TV bans, stiff fines, and the penalties they usually give to mid-majors ?
