Going to be hard to land him. Still nice that he is keeping us around. From what I understand he is definately considering WSU and this isn't just a nod because he is a hometown kid. He has a good relationship with the coaching staff (especially assistant Dana Ford). Coach Ford and him developed a relationship when Ford was a graduate assistant. Some had said he worked out with Perry or gave him some lessons or something when Ellis was still in middle school. Not totally sure, but I do know it's been said he has a good relationship with Ford as well as the rest of the coaches.

Ford seems to be a pretty good recruiter. He's in on some of our better recruits we have right now...like VanVleet and Ellis.

National Top 25 2012 recruit Perry Ellis of Wichita, Kansas has narrowed his list of choices down to a final 4- Kansas, Kentucky, Kansas State and Wichita State, He has a press conference scheduled to announce his decision at 2:45 pm today. The people at Kansas seem pretty confident he will pick Kansas.

But now there are some twitter rumors leaking out that he will surprise everyone and pick Wichita State! I find that hard to believe, but we'll know in 2 hours.

a brand new insider premium article on the Kentucky site sorta says/hints he's gonna pick UK because his buddy Archie Goodwin just verballed to Kentucky and Ellis would be 100% assured of instant playing time and not having to sit behind anyone.

Another well known source says it will be Kansas coach Bill Self that wins this recruiting battle because, "Bill Self never loses a recruiting battle for an instate Kansas kid that he wants".
