I don't know where I fit in but I didn't get a special letter commending me on my gift either - and I just asked Da Coach and he says he didn't either...
so if there's a pattern of ANY kind, then it is something that NEVER happened before -- I have always gotten a prompt notice of my donation...so you are wrong B4L

Anyway -- I still don't see a pattern of "ignoring" any group of fans as I have laid out literally DOZENS of events and specially arranged promotions JUST FOR THE AVERAGE FAN and not for the "big boys"...

So again, I ask, where's the pattern of ignoring?? Are you saying that not sending notices - something that seems the same for big and little donors - is perceived as a slam against the little guys?
So what happened? Did you get an acknowledgement of your donation or did you not? If you did not get a notice, than I think it is wrong for the Department to not acknowledge the contribution. I personally don't care if the contribution is $1 or $1,000,000. A simple thank you email from an intern on behalf of the department is not asking much and is a nice gesture of goodwill. jmho

I donate my money to the local bars before the games to help support the program at the games. I didn't get a "thank you" note either. I am bothered by this.

LOL -- but that's still important for the Peoria economy!

I would imagine that many things bother you every day. It must be very hard to live that way. I drove to Chick-Fil-A yesterday, but they were closed. I'm waiting for a written apology at the moment.

That's strange.. I usually get a thank you from the local bars.. Maybe it is because they know me at those establishments!

I went to the BU page minutes before starting this thread and the updated donor list was NOT there. I hope someone at BU has the decency to step in here and acknowledge that. It seems that mentioning something on this board has the same effect as making a call, Tornado, so I'll pass on your advice.

And it figures that a simple observation spawned the usual conspiracy theories. Am I allowed to post my name and address and phone number on this board? If so, I will do so, because this is really a very simple and un-conspiratorial matter. I sent 150 to BU in April and have not gotten my lapel pin yet and I WANT MY LAPEL PIN! And I also want BU to update that donor page EVERY MONTH if they want me to keep sending 150 every so often. That's the way the world works.

FWIW, I donated a decent sum every month to BU through my paycheck when I was in AZ and never got on the donor list. I did call to confirm they were recieving it, but didn't really care about being listed. I don't know if it's an issue any longer because my donation is now season tickets and maintanence/Braves Club fees which BU has been VERY responsive and thankful for. Just my 2 cents.

I didn't know that it existed. I'll check it out.

I would like to assure everyone that every donation that is received by the Braves Club and/or Athletic Department is very much appreciated, regardless of the amount. Every donation makes an important impact on our ability to fulfill our mission: "To provide every student-athlete the opportunity for both a distinctive education and a championship experience."

Our sincerest apologies to anyone who has not received acknowledgement and appreciation for your donation. It is an unintentional oversight that our staff works hard to prevent. We will work harder.

As a staff, we feel we are very approachable and I encourage you to utilize the contact information available from the Staff Directory on BradleyBraves.com or to visit us in person at Renaissance Coliseum to address any future concerns.

I second this, the staff was (and has always been) very helpful. They really helped me out with getting tickets this season and explaining the process to me (which I had previously misunderstood).

BU and the AD should be embarrassed. I wonder how much more successful fundraising might be if there were at least an intern manning the station. What a pity.
Brocks --someone at BU in charge of the Braves Club ..
wants to get hold of you...
She urges that you call 677-2667 and they want to make things right for you..
She also said that she has personally worked on that donor web page regularly since 2010 so it is updated continuously...

Lastly -- I am impressed that someone at BU would go this far out of their way to try to seek out anyone who is the least bit unhappy and they want to try to make it right...
I think they are doing an awesome job.

Kudos to the personnel in the BU Athletic Depatrment
