  • Creighton sophomore Ethan Wragge injures knee in practice

Ethan Wragge missed all but 9 games his freshman season due to injuries, and Creighton was counting on him contributing now that he was getting healthy. But he suffered a knee injury in a scrimmage Monday.

An MRI Tuesday showed a sprained ligament

Creighton will be leaving Thursday for the Bahamas to begin the first of four games on Friday.

We can't be sure until another team loses their best player or leading scorer. Wragge contributed very little last year

Did Wragge get medical redshirt last season? If not, shouldn't he be a Junior this season?

I believe Wragge got the redshirt and returns as a sophomore. He drew a lot of comparisons to Kyle Korver as a freshman, so this is a pretty big blow for them if he has to miss significant time again. It remains to be seen whether Wragge will be a major player for Creighton, but after what he did to BU 2 years ago, I am an optimistic that he will be a solid contributor.
