It's come to my attention that a lot of fans set their bookmark to this forum and don't keep up with the other forums on BradleyFans.com.

I keep getting asked about who Bradley is recruiting, and we have added a lot of names recently on the Recruiting board. Check them out-

Even though we are in an NCAA recruiting "quiet period" right now, the coaches have plans to bring more players in for campus visits in the upcoming weeks and will probably sign a player by the early signing period (Nov. 9-16, 2011). Keep an eye on the Recruiting board for new names.

Is the new staff more open with recruiting information than the previous staff? It always seemed to me like Les was a bit paranoid when it came to people finding out who he was recruiting....

You are very perceptive. Every coach is different when it comes to what info they want to let out and Coach Les always felt it was to his advantage to keep most recruiting info secret, or only confide with people he trusted to keep things from the public. Geno seems more inclined to want more recruiting information to get out to fans, though there are some things that even he keeps confidential.

Note that it is actually an NCAA violation for a coach to reveal publically any information about a potential student athlete (a recruit) other than a simple yes or no when asked if they are recruiting them. But somehow, most D1 coaches find a way to get the info out.

DJ Alum -- I am sure you know that most "mid-majors" have to dig, work, and find the "under-the-radar" kids...
Check BU's roster - Taylor Brown, Will Egolf, Jake Eastman, Nate Wells, Shayok, Hodges, DSE, even recent past favorites such as Chris Roberts...were all kids that BU wanted to keep low while recruiting - since BU's advantage was finding them before they were even listed by many of the recruiting sites...

But there is no doubt that recruiting info is getting out to the media more now...

I suppose it all depends on whether or not you are afraid of a little competition.

At the same time, it seems like more and more kids like to see their names in print. If a visit leads to a news story, that can sometimes help the chances of getting a kid. It all depends on the kid and the kid's family....
