  • Geno first class

I was at a funeral saturday morning, the same day as Bradley Elite Camp and seen Coach Ford and Coach Graham both at Coach Dave Williams from Manual High School mothers funeral...I know this to be true, not many D1 Head Coaches go to high school coaches parents funerals...this guy and his staff are a class act!!!

Good to see another BU coach with class. I think Geno has really forged a good relationship with Coach Williams.

Coach Williams has been an incredible plus for basketball in our area - and although I have never met him, I appreciate what he does for kids -- and not just the Manual kids...
I am saddened to hear of his mother's passing -- and pass on my sympathies....

        back at it

Good to see Coach Williams at the Dunlap event last night with the guys..Also wanted to point out that it was good to see Donivine show up in Dunlap last night and get an ovation after what he did to that schools basketball team for 4 years..ha ha.

Not to sound cold, but it's good business when you have scholarship offers out to 2 of his players.

Geno had shown this same class from the minute he arrived in Peoria so that's just not true if you're implying he only did it to gain influence on local players

              Geno

Being that he has offered 2 of Coach Williams players has NOTHING to do with the fact that he showed up for his mothers Funeral. Coach Williams has been at Bradley with Geno from day 1 and anyone who is close to the program will tell you that he is always there..this has nothing to do with recruiting..just a class act. I know Coach Williams well and he has nothing but praise for Geno and staff and to try to say this is all due to recruits is an absolute joke.

I'm implying that Coach Ford just got to Peoria and wouldn't have any other reason to know the family outside of basketball.

I've had the opportunity to spend some time with Geno and he seems like a real solid guy.

Old Coach -- from the minute Geno got to Peoria he has taken the time to go out into the community and meet just about anyone and everyone..
sure, some were local high school coaches and assistant coaches, but also many were fans and potential fans (have you not read the recent stories about Geno at the Chief's game and Community events?), he's met civic leaders, many other local businessmen, city officials, and just about anyone he's had the opportunity to meet.
When I first met Geno I was captivated by how he chatted like we were old friends - asking about my kids, their schools, telling me about his kids & family, answering any questions I had, introducing his wife, and genuinely wanting to get to know me as one single fan.

Geno really is this way, you ought to get to know him........

I have spent a fair amount of time with him and find him to be very engaging.
