Wichita State gets verbal from Illinois juco kid

This uses the final scholarship they have so it is pretty likely they know they're out of the running for the LSU transfer Garrett Green.

"James Anacreon (6-foot-7, 200 pounds), a sophomore from Lake Land (Ill.) College committed to WSU.
He will be eligible this season and have two seasons of eligibility remaining."
"He didn't visit WSU and has never been to Kansas. He committed to Iona in April but did not qualify academically.
Anacreon averaged 14.4 points and 8.1 rebounds in 27 games for Lake Land."

Also - he only went to Lake Land for one year and was at Broward (juco) his freshman year but did not play because of eligibility issues.

Sounds like a decent talent to get this late in the summer. It's another big body to throw in the mix in the post so that is good. The more competition down there the better.

Just hope this kid can keep his grades in order!
