Looking forward to seeing lots of Bradley Fans at the various events next week.
Last night was the first of 3 Community Nights- at Pekin Avanti's Dome.
I was not able to go, but I hear there was a large number of people there to greet the Bradley players and coaches. Does anyone have a first hand report? I checked the Peoria Journal Star, and did not see a single mention of the event.
Maybe they should have offered a bobblehead.

Maybe we will get a report from Bobby.

Tonight is the second Community Night- at Hickory Grove Park in Dunlap from 5-7 pm. The third event will be Thursday, August 11, at Five Points in Washington, Illinois from 5-7 pm.

The details for tonight's event in Dunlap are available now on BradleyBraves.com

Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

The article also includes a link to photographer Bob Hunt's blog and some of his photos from last night.

Everyone seemed to enjoy last night's event and the opportunity to mingle with Coach Ford, Dr. Cross and all of our staff in attendance, as well as the student-athletes.

Women's basketball coach Paula Buscher will join Geno Ford for the speaking program tonight, which again will include a question-answer session. Last night's prizes included season tickets for MEN'S BASKETBALL, women's basketball, volleyball and soccer, as well as an autographed basketball and soccer ball. Similar prizes will be awarded again tonight.

I was there also...sorry I missed you Gerry. Yes, Wily Coyote is a great guy...had dinner with him and some other friends after the event.

You mentioned the players that were in attendance. All of the mens BB coaches were there, including the strength coaches. Was good to meet Coach Ford in person. He indicated his #1 priority was to win at home...to make the other team feel like they have no chance of winning when the bus arrives at the CC. He wants to get off to a good start with 4 home games in a row, although he identified Wofford (game #4) as a quality opponent. He indicated we have players with speed, and wants to play to that strength. He said Coach Graham would have primary responsibility for the offense, and Coach Scott would have primary responsibility for the defense. He thinks all of the players have made great progress over the summer, and that it was beneficial to have all of the players on campus for the entire summer.

I'm sure I left out a few items, but those were my takeaways from the event.
