You are correct if they are doing a point to point dedicated compressed replication service through HW and not a SW platform. We also would have to hope that Carvers backbone is updated with fiber. There's plenty of places that could be acting as a choke point. I'm betting the feed from the campus will be superior.

From what I have heard, fiber in the area should not be an issue. (A tech once told me ATT had a major internet fiber backbone going down Jefferson or some other street. I remember pre-cable and pre-DSL days a little tech company providing high-speed wi-fi to the Twin Towers from their office with a T1 or greater)
But getting that speed from the street into the PCC is a different issue.

But technically, Bradley's Internet 2? feed would probably blow anyone but Google away. (Although that does not help us Internet 1 users)

It is not illegal to view a stream as of this writing. It is illegal for the site to host the stream and for the person to publish the stream.

Yeah, if it were illegal to view them they would have had to cut the internet from at least half of the homes in the US. I only watch it on channelsurfing cos I'm a die hard that likes to actually WATCH the team, but I'm good with just listening on the radio as well

2) In reference to the comment about listening to the audio broadcast while following the stats on ESPN.com, why not follow the stats on BradleyBraves.com? After all, ESPN is receiving their xml feed of our stats directly from the same computer feeding the live stats on BradleyBraves.com. I am not sure some of you realized this, but we recognized the shortcomings of NeuLion's live stats platform last year and signed on with a third-party company -- StatBroadcast. I hope that most of you recognized the new offering and enjoyed the improved service (btw, the new service also was available at BravesMobile.com for following on your mobile devices). We have just signed the agreement to utilize their service again for the 2011-12 season and we are working on some improvements for our live stats online.

Thanks BP...I tried to listen to BU MBB Game WMBD radio broadcast streaming through BradleyBraves.com last season and had diffculty getting connected.

Are WMBD's BU MBB radio broadcasts streamed from the BB.com web site free of charge? Every time I tried to listen to the radio broadcast the BB.com site took me to a screen where it wanted me to pay for all access.....

When I couldn't get connected via BB.com, I tried to stream the WMBD radio broadcast directly from the WMBD web site and it wasn't available...Is WMBD prohibited from streaming their radio broadcasts of BU MBB via their WMBD radio web site?

If BB.com MBB stat information has all the functionality of ESPN's BB Box Score and Play by Play info, will switch over to BB.com this fall.

Let me begin by once again acknowledging that we have had more than our share of issues with the video streaming of live events over the years and pledging that we are committed to providing a quality service. I do believe it is a bit unfair to say there have been no improvements over the years, however, when we have made substantial upgrades in technology and staffing to improve the service. Clearly, more needs to be done and we are working hard to make Bradley All-Access (please stop calling it B.TV) the best it can be.

With all of that being said, however, I do have a couple of questions:

1) I often see references to the stream available on channelsurfing.net being of a higher quality, including those games where the only originating video stream is provided through Bradley All-Access. If we are providing the only stream of a non-televised game, that means someone is pulling in the video stream, upgrading it, and pushing it out (ILLEGALLY) to channelsurfing.net viewers. I realize that I am in many ways ignorant to today's modern technology, but if you know how to upgrade the originating stream quality, please share your knowledge with the NeuLion helpdesk (https://www.nmnathletics.com/CreateT...DB_OEM_ID=3400) for the benefit of all our viewers. As I am re-reading this post, I realize that probably comes off as argumentative, but that is not the intent. My primary reason for this post was to acknowledge we have had issues and to assure you we are working diligently to improve all of our offerings on BradleyBraves.com. There are no guarantees in life, but I hope you have noticed many of the upgrades we have made to our online platforms as evidence that we are striving to offer you the best services possible.

I don't think free feeds like channelsurfing.net exist anymore. Unless your talking about official feeds from another school.

Hopefully they negotiate a good TV contract but it's gotta be hard to sell BU this season with so many blowouts last year.
