Kirk Wessler's column- he is impressed and has a lot of great things to say about Bradley's guards--
Here is a clip from Kirk--
Bradley has good guards. Lots of good guards. A couple of them are very good guards. One probably even deserves mention when elite college point guards are discussed.
How Daniel Ruffin did not get named one of the top 10 returning players in the Missouri Valley is a mystery. But the Bradley junior is no secret to anyone who has to play against him.
"I am a great admirer of Daniel," DePaul coach Jerry Wainwright said Saturday night. Nobody had asked him about Ruffin; Wainwright had to volunteer his accolades. "I love his heart, I love his enthusiasm, and he has tremendous quickness."
Dave Reynolds' usual excellent report. This time it's about 3's instead of the number 11--
Dave does make a couple errors-
he says the 20 point win "was the most lopsided Bradley win over DePaul since a 91-76 victory at Robertson Field House in 1953."
However, we don't have to go back to 1953! Just last year at the Allstate Arena Bradley pounded DePaul 75-60, the same 15 point margin as in 1953.
He also says, "Down the stretch, the Braves' biggest margin was 21 points on three occasions."
But I recall the margin reaching 25 points before the starters were all removed. Does anyone else recall this?
