  • Drake's Seth VanDeest out 4-6 months

    Not good news for Drake! He'll miss the the first part of the season is my guess and shoulder injuries are never good.

    Drake center Seth VanDeest could miss the start of next season because of a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

    The full time to completely recover from this type of surgery - especially on his shooting shoulder - could be longer than 6 months.
    it took Nate Funk a full year to heal and get back - and Nate's surgery was on the non-shooting shoulder...
    and even then, Nate's final year stats were off a bit from his junior season
    scoring went down a bit....and
    Shooting pct. went down 51.7% --> 47.8%
    3-pt shooting went down 46.9% --> 36.4%
    Rebounds went way down 5.1 --> 3.5

    A torn labrum on the shooting arm pretty much ended Creighton's Casey Harriman's career.
