    1) Bradley coaches never saw Reddic play at the TOC. They heard about him through other people who attended the event. They requested video tapes from the ToC to see him. THEN they offered.

    2) B.J. Young was not recruited by Bradley until the end of his junior year- after he continued to tear up the St. Louis circuit. They had to stop and revisit and rescout him after not liking him at the TOC, where he poured in 25 points in about 2.5 quarters of play. The headcase thing is for real- that is why he was not named to the Mc Donald's All-America team.

That is why I posted the statement- I hope Coach Ford and his staff take advantage of the talent in their own back yard.

The ToC is a tool for college recruiting. One of the reasons we have this event is to bring in college coaches from all levels so they can see Peoria's local talent against talent from across the country. We want players like Max Bielfeldt to be seen! Michigan sent a scout to the event last year to see Max, why didn't Bradley?

It is funny when I see Tom Crean, Matt Painter, Howard Moore, etc, etc, etc. come to the event- but we can't even get a contigency from Bradley to come to Washington for more than one day.

Oh well.... just trying to help.
get the idea of a bad evaulation of BJ Young (ToC talent in gen))....but I'd rather have not offered BJ Young because he never would have come here

I plan on being at the TOC and would love to pass on my recruiting report - however there are probably rules against that..

You guys (Tornado and DaCoach) are awesome on these posts! I think we're all on the same page- we just want the Bradley Braves to make it to the NCAA tournament!

Thanks- and I have also been to every TOC here in central Illinois, and compared to other events, it is First Class. Shawn Powell, and his staff who run the event are the best. Looking forward to this year's event, and as it gets closer, please post more about the teams and players for our fans.

Incidentally- any chance of getting Oak Park-River Forest HS into the TOC? If Bradley fans could get a chance to see their newest commitment, Ka'Darryl Bell, I think there would be a flood of fans coming to Washington HS to see him.

For fans, here is the corrected link to the State Farm Tournament of Champions site (it hasn't been fully updated with 2011 info yet)-

I agree, but it looks like they are already playing a tournament at St. Patrick that week.

???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
