I'd have to believe that the NBA owners are not to happy but what can they do? A man has a right to earn a living.
I bet if someone had enough money they could start their own small league of ALL-Stars here in the USA and make a real go of it. 8 team league in the largest market playing in large venues over a 3 month time and produce it yourself and sell the broadcast rights to a cable company or better yet air it over the internet."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

I haven't read every article, but it seems these NBA players want us to believe they have signed and will definitely play in Europe. But I am not buying it. I cannot believe that if they are indeed signing a contract, it gives them the option to back out if the NBA resolves their labor issues and there is an NBA season this fall.Comment

I'm sure that could be done, but it couldn't be done overnight. The logistics of setting up the league would take quite a lot of time and money. It would probably take longer to get the league set up than the lock-out will last. Booking venues and obtaining practice facilities alone would be expensive. It seems pretty unlikely that NBA players would be willing to drop down to one of the lower level US leagues.Originally posted by SFP View Post

I can't see Kobe going as he is recovering from knee surgery. All-star level players will probably have a hard time adjusting to the Euro leagues. This entire topic sounds far more like an empty threat than reality. Brandon Jennings hated playing in Europe.
