  • Attendance-- 11,080

Not quite a sellout, but very close.
Bobby Parker, Ken Kavanagh, and all the Bradley people did a great job with the shirts, towels, and atmosphere. Everthing worked perfectly. Everyone was standing for the first part of each half.

I don't know what the official total of students was, but there had to be 500-600 or more. The most I've ever seen at a game.

was when Hersey Hawkins was playing. This game was so much fun, lets keep it up.

I'm a student... and tonight's atmosphere was really incredible.
That is the type of atmosphere that I have dreamed about ever since I became a student at Bradley. I'm in my last year here at Bradley and I just hope that that atmosphere can stick around all year. Thank you to all the fans in attendance for being so Great!! GO BU!!

I thought I heard Snell say on the postgame that it was a capacity crowd - seats were paid for (though there may have been some no-shows, I know I sat near some empty seats).

Maybe 11,080 is the official 'capacity' during the construction of that "mystery box seating" in section 14/15.

            The crowd was indeed awesome.
Nice to know there are masses of great BU fans who weren't just going to wait and see if they win this season.... and instead came out to support them right from the get-go!

By the way... did the student section and band sound 'louder' to anyone tonight? Were mics planted in that section?

It was most definitely a sellout.

Well, you know where I usually sit.

Tonight I was much closer to the ceiling and the speakers. I didn't know if it was a new thing or not.

I was told by one of the BU staff that the players and coaches totally loved the crowd and all they did to keep the players cranked up.
Also in the post game comments Jim Les and the players echoed the same sentiment.
This was an absolutely awesome atmosphere, and I saw six or seven different recruits who were there, taking in that sight.
I saw Tyler Storm, and I believe I saw Daniel West, Jaron Davis, and possibly Kevin Dillard from Flossmoor.
There was only one other big guy besides Storm, and I believe it was Scott Suggs.

                        Yes this is a sellout.
The present capacity is 11,140, but remember that four full rows of 12 seats are removed in the upper bowl (the hidden room), and so 11,140-48=11,092, essentially a sellout!

I was behind a few of these recruits in line at halftime. There were some tall kids. I think they had to be impressed by the show.

If that wasnt a game to convince those recruits to come to BU then I dunno what they are looking for. Great game BU

Heemy-- I saw Brandyn Heemskerk at church this morning. He is really a fine young man, and is headed back to Michigan where he is just getting started with a new job.
It was great that Brandyn could be the one who unfurled the Sweet Sixteen banner!
If you're reading this BH-- We are grateful for your contributions to BU.
