    I voted for #2.

My first favorite team was the Loyola Ramblers...run & gun and National Champs! We should play them every year, one of those years we'll both be top 25 at the same time.

I also liked Ohio State (Jerry Lucas) & Purdue growing up, Iowa...also Marquette.

    So -

    Bradley
    Illinois
    Loyola Ramblers
always highly liked Wichita State too
    SIU (Walt "Clyde" Frazier)
    ISU (Doug Collins)
    ISU (Larry Bird)

      engineering is Illinois' signature program.

its goes like MIT, Stanford, Berkely, Cal Tech, GIT, and then Illinois

I'm just as confused! ISU anything on a top list??? Ohio State, Purdue, and Iowa Big 10 foes, Marquette and Loyola? where did that come from? I didn't think you could switch around that much! Here's how I work:
          1. Bradley
          2. Any Mid-Major that happens to be taking on a Major on any given day.

          Football:
          1. Notre Dame (Grew Up on Them)
          2. U of Oklahoma (why else but for a girl! haha)
          3. U of Hawaii (Because I can watch football at odd hours of the night because of them)
Notre Dame's on top of them all!
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

Thanks for correcting me guys. Illinois is a great academic university..... I just didn't realize it was THAT good in engineering. I stand corrected.

I can only have 1 team per sport (unless extenuating circumstances allow otherwise: i.e. from champaign, grew up in peoria --- high major, mid major = Illinois and Bradley)

I root for many, many teams. Whoever plays the Cubs, Bears and ISU Red.

I got carried away...ok, my vote is still #2

If Bradley doesn't make the final two, I hope it's Illinois followed by the Ramblers. That would be my top 2 with a third thrown in.

BUF can like whoever he wants, I won't complain.

you forgot to throw in "girl" to your circumstances. hahaha I know a guy at the bank who's a die hard Packer fan, but he has a picture of him and his wife in Steelers jerseys at a game. XD

As an Illini fan, I disagree. Illinois' rivals are Indiana and Iowa. Maybe in football, though.

I see most Big 10 teams as a "rival" but I hate Michigan more than the rest, partly because my moms family is from Michgan and my cousin went to Michigan State, so i root against every one in the Big 10 besides Illinois and MSU

                              Great poll, I like it.

Love em both. Glad to see BU beat them in Vegas because I thought BU had way more to gain from a win than the Illini had to lose from a loss. But BU is 25 minutes from my house, U of I 90, so naturally I attend way more BU games. If BU would ever pull a Butler and make the final 4, it would be more meaningful to me than if U of I won the national title.

By the way, I'm an ISU grad. Can't stand ISU hoops. Always have, always will.

I'm from the east coast originally an ACC fan and my favorite Big Ten school in football is PSU because a neighbor's dad use to go to every home game and I became a MSU fan because my next door neighbor's dad played basketball for them in the 60s. I do mot hate the Illini, if anything I usually pull for them because I like Weber unless they are going for one of my favorite teams. I will feel no different about them though even with SM. I wish SM could have finished his college career at BU.
