This now makes 3 different MVC teams that have hired Marcus Belcher as an assistant coach in 4 years. First with Marty Simmons at Evansville for 1 season (2007-200, then a couple seasons with Chris Lowery at SIU (2009-2011), and now at Indiana State with Greg Lansing. I wonder if there have been any assistants before who have worked at 3 different conference schools?
He has also been an assistant at SIU-E and Eastern Illinois in his short coaching career.

Now that you mention it I know Kareem Richardson that just left Drake worked at least at three Valley schools (Evansville, Drake & Indiana State). Also I believe Lowery let most if not all of his assistants go after last season. Strange in that he is probably the one that should be leaving but being "a sharp financial wizard" if not a great coach has had that base covered for a ten year term that is still running for a couple more years. He dumps or loses most of his players and assistant coaches on a regular basis..................sinking ship syndrome ????????????????

technically i believe he wasnt fired just didnt have his contract renewed, The dui didn't do him any favors also. Lowery was basically told he had to replace some assistant so belcher was odd man out
