I have heard Bradley will have a visitor on campus today, but he is an underclassman, so don't expect to hear about a commitment.
Indiana coach Tom Crean hires an IU basketball legend. Former Bobby Knight player, Calbert Cheaney, the all-time scoring leader in Big Ten history was hired as Indiana's new Director of Basketball Operations-
The University of Kentucky celebrated Coach John Calipari's 500th win on Feb. 26, 2011, but now Kentucky admits it was wrong, and it will now report Calipari’s career record “consistent with the NCAA’s official records and statistics.”
Thus they have revised Calipari's win total down by 42 wins. Those were the 2 seasons the NCAA vacated because of the cheating scandals at Massachusetts and Memphis.
Here is one writer's list of the best college dunkers-
How did Kyle Kuric make the list? He probably only has a couple dunks in his entire 3-year college career. But a couple of them got a lot of attention, especialy his dunk against Notre Dame. I guess the writer felt he had to have at least 1 other white guy on the list.
And in mascot news- The University of Michigan is considering developing a mascot-
Though it would seem Michigan would have an easy choice for a mascot with their nickname of the Wolverines, they have never had an official mascot since a failed experiment in the 1920's with live Wolverines.
And speaking of nicknames- the NCAA reaffirmed it's position against Indian nicknames. The University of North Dakota planned to retire the "Fighting Sioux" nickname and the Indian logo, but the North Dakota legislature, and the urging of countless fans, passed a bill requiring the univertsity to keep them in a show of defiance against the NCAA.
Now the state officials want a meeting with the NCAA, but NCAA officials announce it won't do any good.
How is this different from the Seminoles?
