    In League play..
    Rice- 13.5 ppg, 38.5% (79/205) FG%, 3pt pct 29.1% (23-79), 61.4% on FTs (62-101), 1.3 asst per game,
    DSE- 12.6 ppg, 48% .................FG%, 3pt pct. 33% (14-43).., 78% ...on FTs, .........and 3.8 asst per game

..yup -- one of the best players in the league...

Not sure where I saw anyone calling him one of the best players in the league. Unless it was you.

Rayvonte Rice & DSE seem to be similiar players in style and build. If either one of them can become a serious threat from the perimeter, they will be 1st team material. Both of them shot under 30% from behind the three point line last season.

I think it is pretty obvious to many that he is one of the leagues best players.
Many people have said he is one of the best players in the league...
Practically every day some preseason preview says just that...
"Sophomore Rayvonte Rice is primed to explode onto the scene as one of the top players in the Valley"

..and Rayvonte was one of 15 players who received All Conference designation last year and one of only nine who return top play this season - so I would fully expect he'll get preseason All Conference recognition again this year.

but boogie -- as I noted, during the 2nd half of the season -- the entire 18-game MVC Conference slate --
Dyricus shot a respectable 33% form the arc vs. 29% by Rayvonte...
In fact, DSE was running around 45% from 3-pt the whole Valley season 'til he hit a 3-game stretch from 2/15 to 2/22 when he went 0-9 ---

Then check this out -- after a whole afternoon of shooting 3-pointers earlier this week -- DSE's numbers were pretty awesome...

I'm a big fan of DSE. He has huge potential. There's not too many shooting guards that pass well and rebound like him. However, his achilles heel is outside shooting. Teams played off of him because of his weak outside shooting and try to limit his strength of driving to the hoop. The better his outside shooting is, the more teams will have to play up on him.

The new charging arc is going to help players like DSE and Rice that like to drive to the hoop. I wish they would have added this years ago.

I agree boogie. I think when the last chapter is written DSE will pan out to be the better player. The adversity that he faced last year that forced him to play PG will pay dividends down the road.
