I have a feeling it will not be who starts that counts but who is on it at the end. He likes to go 9-10 deep with meaningful minutes so our concept of starting will be of a little. If we play an up and down pressure the ball type of game everyone will get their chance to play and probably some unique looking lineups. I'm waiting it out until season begins. IMO DSE, JP and a healthy TB are the only sure starters.

These are pretty much my same thoughts as well. I hope we have enough to go 9-10 deep every game and really get after teams. I still see DSE logging a ton of minutes regardless of how deep we go. I think WL has a great chance to step up and before WE went done, I thought he had a similar chance.

I'm excited to see the new kids play a lot and I hope they are playing a lot because they're "just that good." Ultimately, I don't care who plays, starts or how much they play. Let's defend the home court and get back to the top of the MVC! How many days until the season opener?

      DS, DSE
      DSE, WL
      TB
      SS
      JP

I'll admit that I don't like DSE at the point!
        SS at the 2 ???????

So anyone think Nate Dubs won't redshirt because of WE's injury?

No. I have heard the plan will not change. Nate will redshirt.

I hope you are right! Will he play the 4 or 5. I always said he should try and play the 4. He could be our poor man version of Kevin Garnet.

I doubt it, since we have 4 other bigs (JP, AT, SS, and DH). It's not like we are hurting for talent down low. Plus, I think Geno is looking more towards the future, rather than just this year. Nate will be better for Bradley in the long run if he does redshirt.

I'm not sure he has adequate skills for that SFP. I'd rather see The Pross play the power forward role with AT in more of a true center role -- catch and dish/inside out game on offense and guard the basket as a shot blocker on D.

Unconventional I know.. Just want to see a tall lineup on the floor.

I used to feel the same way, but have gone the opposite direction. I want the best combination of speed and defense, which usually works in opposition to height.

Based on what is being run in the current summer workouts, I don't think we will ever see JP and AT (or WE if he comes back) on the floor at the same time. Getting up and down the floor requires a player with above average mobility at the 4, which would be TB, SS, and DH.

I would agree with Ptown, especially when you consider Geno's style of play. A quick lineup would seem to play better.

But then again, so would a quick lineup with 6-8 guys that just so happen to be quick.

I heard that AT has a pretty nice shot and can run the floor. I doubt he will play the 4 because of our lack of depth at the 5 but I'm betting we may see a new look AT.

I am curious about the 9-10 deep comments.
I looked up a few Kent State box scores from the end of last season and usually saw 7 players playing 30+ minutes then sometimes 2 more players added 2 minutes each...

I did think it was interesting that the leading rebounder was a guard about half the time.
