  • Will Egolf tears ACL

    via Espn

Bradley fifth-year senior center Will Egolf tore the ACL in his right knee during an open gym this week and could miss all of next season, the school announced on Wednesday.

Egolf suffered a similar injury during his sixth game of 2008-2009 season and sat out the rest of the year. He was granted a medical redshirt that season.

Egolf started 31 games and averaged 8.0 points and 4.1 rebounds for the Braves last season. He was expected to be a key contributor this season for first-year Bradley coach Geno Ford.

      Ugggh!!! It never ends!

I wonder how long it will be before Geno gets the blame for a bad team despite the injuries!

        This is terrible for Will.
Thanks for the ESPN link. We do have discussion of the injury, including a link to video of the injury in the (more ambiguously named) injury thread

I'm excited about Geno's plan for BU, and this is where the balance in his recruiting class (2G, 2F, C) will help. If we had Remy and added a juco PG instead of the 2 forwards Geno signed at the "last minute" , then I think we would be hurting more with this loss of a big.
