    Taylor Brown Begins Light Workouts

PEORIA, Ill. ??“ After a recommended period of physical inactivity and expert medical evaluations, Bradley men??™s basketball senior forward Taylor Brown (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody H.S.) has begun light workouts as a first step toward a potential return to the court for the 2011-12 season.

???Taylor has been inactive for the last seven months while undergoing a thorough cardiac evaluation,??? said first-year Bradley head coach Geno Ford. ???After being inactive for such a long period of time, a step-by-step progression is necessary for his return to the court. Ultimately, Taylor??™s health remains our top priority and this is the first step in the process.???

After spending his first collegiate semester at Bevill State College in Alabama, Brown transferred to Bradley in 2008 and averaged 3.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game as a redshirt freshman for the Braves in 2008-09. The 6-foot-6 forward pushed those numbers to 13.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2009-10, when he enjoyed one of the largest individual scoring jumps in the nation and was named the captain of the Missouri Valley Conference Most Improved Team.

A 2010-11 preseason All-MVC honorable mention selection, Brown did not play as a junior, however, as he was required to de-condition his body for a 3-month period for cardiac testing. He has remained inactive since that initial de-conditioning period ended in February while doctors conducted additional testing.

Came here on the right time!
      Great news!!
Overall, a very positive spring for the Braves, as they look to start the Geno era on the right foot.

      DS honors commitment
      DSE's decision to return
      JP's recovery
      3 new Geno recruits
      TB's emminent return!

I'd say the positives outweigh the losses of Sammy, RA, and SH...at least on paper. Not saying our roster is better after the Les departure, but it could have been a lot worse!
