What are the rules regarding summer leagues for the NCAA?
The summer league out in SF have plenty of college kids playing in it with a handful of ABA players and towards the end of the season a few NBA players make their appearance. The summer league games are great to go and watch. I remember watching Iverson play in The DC summer league while he was at Georgetown.

Some leagues are sanctioned by NCAA yet they do limit how many kids from the same school can play on a single team -- thus those pro-ams and the Prime Time League in Iowa are leagues they can play in...
The non-sanctioned leagues are still OK to play in but you'd better be careful which coaches coach which players and what "appearance" of benefits they might get or the NCAA might have reason to check it out and find something -- thus our BU guys were "urged" to stop playing in the Hersey Hawkins League - mostly because the Star Trucking team already had ties to BU that were best avoided.Comment

Also, coaches can differ on whether they want their players or recruits to participate in summer leagues. In Bradley's case where there is a new coach and an entirely new system, it makes more sense to get the recruits and players on campus asap to begin individual workouts and so they can learn the new system.Comment

Summer league begins tonite
The Hersey Hawkins Summer league begins league play tonite at 6pm at the Peoria Riverplex..should be good talent on display.Comment
