It appears he is trying to be fair an include one player from as many of the D1 schools in Illinois as possible (9 schools), plus 2 from Illinois just to appeal to the larger number of U of I fans.
EIU, WIU, Chicago State, and SIU-E don't make the list.

Interesting that in 20 lines of discussion on Brandon Paul -- no mention that now Paul won't have to share the PG duties (got help coming from Sammy), as was planned, and can focus on his offense.
