  • ESPN Exposes AAU/amateur program...

The coach of a top AAU team also runs a nonprofit foundation that mixes basketball and education -- but are the connections too friendly with some collegiate programs?

this is the amateur program that has brought lots of African players in and funnelled them to high schools and colleges including Decatur Christian and several high profile, Big Ten, and top colleges...

..but ESPN has found some really serious problems..including one of the AAU kingpins who's giving $$ to the players is now on the payroll of one of the Big Ten basketball programs! (IU)....very suspicious connections...

Read the details on how so much of the money is connected with suspicious sources, origins, and purposes...

"Such treatment potentially violates NCAA extra benefits bylaws and thus could impact (the player's)... initial NCAA eligibility.."

".. more than $200,000 ...... Only $68 was spent on schooling..."

..illegal recruitments -- AAU coaches "adopting" players so they can give them $$...shoe complany money funnelled from street agents to AAU coaches to players....in exchange for where they go to college...foreign players testifying they were forced to go to the colleges that were arranged for them by the crooked deals, and NOT the ones they wanted to go to...and lots more shady stuff........

interesting now that ESPN exposes this scam that allegedly gives illegal benefits to recruits in exchange for their verbals to targeted destinations...

then other news outlets finally see that this is somewhat significant news....
wonder if it will actually cause the NCAA to move since most of the kids end at a handful of BCS schools including Indiana...

BTW -- Indiana is still under probation from their last violations under Kelvin Sampson.......

    and...

The new NCAA President just made a "tough-talk" speech saying they are going to actually go after cheaters....sure

BTW -- you KNEW that if there was a scandal anywhere -- that somehow Bruce Pearl would be involved....
and you are right....he was involved -- he hired Drew Adams the son of the AAU coach in order to funnel Emmanuel Negedu to Tennessee..
and so surely with the huindreds of thousands of $$ being mentioned in this scandal -- some came from Bruce Pearl over at Tennessee.
Sadly -- due to his heart condition -- Negedu never paid off...
