Former Loyola coach Jim Whitesell hired as an assistant at St. Louis U

Jim Whitesell, who was fired as head coach after 7 seasons at Loyola back on March 14, has been hired by Rick Majerus as an assistant at St. Louis University. The irony is that he replaces Porter Moser who was hired as Whitesell's replacement at Loyola.

Whitesell was also a candidate for the head coaching job at Wisconsin-Eau Claire before he withdrew.
