UConn docked two scholarships by NCAA for academic shortcomings

UConn will lose two basketball scholarships for 2011-2012 because of bad APR and graduation rate data...

they will also be down one scholarship due to their cheating -- so they will have only 10 to use for next year...

UConn in the news again -- they are trying to fire their Athletic Director amid all the recent scandals...

but the sticking point is that they pay the guy so much and have him under a long term, guaranteed contract that the cost of canning the guy is substantial.

He's currently got a contract thru 2017 that pays him well over $350K
