Pacers send DG to the T-Wolves for Ricky Rubio, Michael Beasley, and the T-Wolves current #2 draft pick in next month's draft...
This is not confirmed nor consummated...but it is being reported as in the works
Well I was hoping they'd trade him to Siberia or China, but Minnesota is the next best thing. Heres to you Danny, and your continuing irrelevance.

It's people with attitudes like yours that caused him to leave Bradley in the first place. Nothing like running off no doubt what would have been a top 5 Bradley player ever and then not letting it go......."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

Geez guys....
Can't we all just all get along...
No reason to be bitter with DG..No reason to be bitter with Sammy...
Time heals wounds...These young men are just that....
I really wish sammy had finished at BU, and I wish Danny had finished at BU.
BUT TO HATE THEM...
You also have to disdain the transfers that we liked that were at other D1 schools..
I am not prepared to do that..
Cellus, Jim Les, Dodie, all represent guys prominent in our program.
Yes, they may not have left in the right way...But we were all young once, and didn't always make the best decisions...

Getting back to the Danny Granger trade story-
The Pacers are reportedly trying to acquire a high draft pick for Granger, supposedly the #2 pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves. I am wondering who they are considering drafting if they would get the #2 pick. If they trade Granger, they would lose their top scorer. His 21.6 ppg scoring average is approximately twice the next highest scorer (Tyler Hansbrough's 11.2 ppg). So it would seem they would be looking for a scorer. But other than Kemba Walker, who is not projected nearly that high, the best players likely to be available at #2 are all all inside players which the Pacers seem to be loaded with anyway.

yeah, DG regrets leaving Bradley so much that he has donated money to New mexico and is building a multi-million dollar house in NM. Yep, he regrets it....very much. I wish him the best in his career myself and of course, i wish he would have stayed, but there are two sides to each story and there were many fans who ridiculed some decisions DG made as a freshman before any transfer rumors came up. Not saying it was the number one decision factor, but it didn't help. Nice thing is DG is still friends with some people from here, and I'll cheer for him any chance I get.

Otherwise, the trade seems like a wash if Beasley is added in with the #2 pick, which would probably be Derrick Williams.I can do all things through pasta, which strengthens me.

I was watching the NBA combine in Chicago which was televised all day live on the NBA Network. Kyrie Irving was not there, but nearly all the other players expected to get picked in the first round were there.
The thing that was most notable was that none of the higly rated players stood out. Their performance times in the drills, their actual measured height, their standing and running jumps were all underwhelming.
If I was an NBA GM, I would be happy not to have a real high pick this year, or would trade it if I did. There seem to be no real difference makers, and many of the teams at the top will be overpaying for the talent available.

2. Hansbrough/McRoberts are both bench-caliber players on quality teams, so the Pacers are hardly "loaded" in the frontcourt.
3. They'll take Williams. He can play the 3 or 4 and be a solid player at either spot for them.

My question is what are they trying to get in return for Granger that they really need to improve. I don't see that Minnesota has anything (other than Kevin Love and they are not trading him), and the draft doesn't seem to either.
Here is a story about a kid named Jeremy Tyler. He left high school his junior year to go play professionally in Europe. At the time, he was rated as the top prospect in the high school class of 2010. He played one season in Israel that was a real disaster. He averaged 2 ppg and quit halfway into the season and returned home. Then he played last season in Japan, playing in the 2nd tier Japanese League. He was only slightly better, averaging under 10 ppg. He is now finally eligible for the NBA draft, and his draft stock had fallen so much that a lot of people didn't project him in the first round. However, he has impressed scouts at the NBA Draft Combine, and his physical skills
Jeremy Tyler skipped his senior year of high school to play overseas. Now, he’s eligible for the NBA draft.
more reports from the Chicago combine-
The 2011 NBA Draft Combine measurements have been released by Draft Express following the completion of the annual event at Attack Athletics on Friday morning and, regardless of what everyone thinks of the event itself, the results of these tests will be extensively pored over up until the NBA Draft next month.
