    C'mon AMC!

"...(despite those trying to say that the new recruits will already be better) was a pretty big hint!

You would have been disappointed in no one had taken your bait!

I don't think anyone felt any of the new recruits would be better than SM.

As a famous general once said:

"I came to praise Maniscalco, not to bury BU"

PS Why does it look like one of the extras in the background is smoking a cigarette? Were there really Malboro's in ancient Egypt?

what a class guy Sammy is and he will be missed -- today -- Paul Klee over in Champaign profiles Sammy....

btw-- don't read this story if you don't want proof that Sammy bench presses 365 now or that Sammy can "bench-press 37 reps at 185 pounds, 14 more repetitions than the top performer at the 2010 NBA draft combine."

or that Sammy's AAU coach said this...
"The calls didn??™t stop coming after he committed to Jim (Les). He could have played in the Big East or the Big Ten.???

or that Sammy himself says this...
"The only assumption that bothers Sam is the notion he left Bradley high and dry.

That couldn??™t be further from the truth, he says.

???I can??™t say enough about this place. This has been a second home to me,??? he says, glancing over West Main Street in Peoria. ???I will always be a Brave.???

When Les was fired in March, it was like a punch to Sam??™s gut. That was ??” and is ??” his guy.

???Jim was like his second father,??? Snell says. ???They are extremely close.???

During his senior season, as rumors began circulating that Les wouldn??™t be retained, Maniscalco stood up for his coach in a private meeting with an athletic department official, telling him he and his teammates wanted Les as their coach. Maniscalco declines to discuss the meeting or if he would have returned to Bradley if Les were still there.

???I would have loved to have the opportunity to make that decision,??? he says. ???I will leave it at that.???

???I love Bradley, obviously,??? Maniscalco says. ???But that??™s a misconception. I guess people just assume it."
